Another new car

Although this one is for my own use, rather than for the rally (like the Rover).

BMW 635CSi

It's a BMW 635CSi (yep, thats a 3.5 litre engine which also does forensic investigation) and was my Dads pride and joy until he (eventually) moved abroad. Hence it's now mine :)

Even though it's 21 years old, it's only got 103k on the clock because it's been so rarely used. It's also been really well looked after so it drives like a new car!

The car is here

The car has been on my drive for a few days now. Not bad at all for the money!

The car

It's still not taxed - that's tomorrows job. But it was delivered all the way from Cardiff by the owner, so I'm hopeful it all works :)It's got some paint peeling off the bonnet, but I'm not bothered about that really!

The back of the car

And although it's a Rover (made by them to compete in the low-end executive car market, with BMW's and Mercs) it's actually based on a Honda Accord, and has a 2 litre Honda engine, gearbox, etc. In other words, one of the better Rovers to buy..

The interior

Although the interior is pretty tasteless, thats a fairly minor niggle compared to the stench of cigarettes!

Now we need to get some exterior decoration done! Any ideas??

Coyote Rally here we come!

You may or may not know that I am going on the Coyote Rally with a few of my mates on April 3rd - 7th 2008. In a nutshell it's a banger rally around Europe consisting of approximately 1500 miles, with stops at Paris, Munich, Prague and Amsterdam.

Coyote Rally 2008 Route

It seems appropriate to keep everyone updated on how things progress one way or another. I figure a blog on this site seems most appropriate!First things first - who's going? Well so far, we have me, Dan and Ian. We have a maybe for the fourth, but not definite yet! (And I don't have a clue who he is anyway) :)

The other thing you might wonder - what are we doing it in? Well - I bought a Rover 620 on ebay the other week, for the princely sum of ?133! Well under the ?500 limit ... so long as nothing goes wrong with it!

I'll have you some pictures as soon as I get ahold of it.

Now on the agenda are a few other minor matters, like where do we stay, what route do we take, what insurance do we need to fix up, how do we decorate the car, how much booze do we drink.. etc etc. One thing at a time methinks!

Hi people :) Just to let you know I'm now living in Oxford (well a place on the outskirts called Botley)!

I work for an IT consultancy firm now. It's all going seemingly well, and I'm enjoying it!

Here's a picture of new year in Nottingham!

Back from Hols

Yeah, I know it's been ages since I wrote in here. No, I've not got any excuses!

But I have been busy on holiday in April, with Teesside Uni. Here's a quick snapshot.

Jungle Bunnies

Above from left: Georgina, Leanne, Donna, Me. Ed is the one saluting like a sailor.

Taken in Les Deux Alpes, France, using a crap disposable camera. (Touched up rather nicely. I mean the picture you perv!).Managed to knacker my knee in after the second day (torn a ligament) hence I've been a cripple for a while, but I still managed to get pissed the rest of the time so it's all good. Before you ask - no it wasn't a snowboarding accident - I was running down a ski slope after a few pints of red wine. Don't ask!

Apart from that, the 27 hour bus journey (each way) was probably the worst bit, but Absinthe helped. Green fairies rule, OK?

Snowboarding is definitely something I'll be doing again, and next year I'll be getting some pics of my l33t skillz on the piste.

What else? Well Rach and I have just bought weekend tickets for the Leeds Festival (sponsored by ..mmmmmmmm.. Carling), so if you're going we may see you there! Now I just gotta find me a nice tent on ebay! We'll be setting up camp with Asif and lots of his doctory-type mates.

Applied for a new job at Barclays last week as a Business Analyst, so we'll see how that goes. Only 5 weeks of Uni left anyway so I've always got something to fall back on (I guess that's assuming I pass!).

Oh, and finally I regret to announce that my good mate Ed may be returning to the 'boro (sorry mate) ;). More carnage shall ensue.

Circle of Death, the PDF version

There's probably one person looking at the Circle of Death entry below saying "Argh! but Will! I don't have Powerpoint! I shall never find out about this amazing game!".

And thus, the Circle of Death PDF was born!

And if you don't have Adobe's PDF Reader, you deserve to be shot!
